I love traveling in my home state, Western Australia; it is such a special place. I’m inspired by the landscape; I enjoy finding beauty in the colours and forms within the environment and flora. The land is both ancient and ephemeral, and I aspire to capture the beauty of both these concepts. The beautiful Pilbara region, home to orange rocks and magnificent gorges of Karijini, is a constant inspiration for me. The Banyjima name for the Hamersley Range is Karijini ("Hilly Place" in English). I can't help but reminisce about the moments spent walking and exploring the mesmerizing gorges. Traveling through the rock paths, gazing up toward the sky, I marvelled at the beauty of the rocks, plants, and surrounding nature, in awe of the way the colours change with the light and time of day. These experiences have left an indelible mark on my artistic expression, and I'm pleased to share my memories of Karijini's wonders through my painting. I aim for my works to connect with my viewers, for them to be reminded of a place in their memory, to notice details in nature they didn’t notice before
